Security & Privacy
We collect personal information about you in order to (1) promptly fulfill your order, (2) communicate with you to resolve any technical problems that you may be having, (3) be able to inform you that we have a new updated version of the report you purchased, or (4) be able to inform you that we have a new product or service in some way related to the report you purchased. Your personal information is kept in a secure database and is not rented, sold, exchanged, or otherwise shared with third parties. An important exception to this policy involves the compulsory sharing of this information under court order. Another important exception to this policy involves the provision of this information to a collection agency, if it becomes necessary to collect payment on your account.
Access to your personal information is restricted to those people with a business-related need for such access. We employ industry standard access control mechanisms such as firewalls, passwords, and encryption in the service of keeping your personal information private. We have also implemented reasonable and appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, destruction, and/or usage. Our practices include regular information security reviews in addition to physical security measures to protect the information you have disclosed to us. We are also committed to maintaining this data in our database in as accurate and up-to-date a fashion as is possible. If you believe we have an error in your data, please contact us so that we might make a correction.
We do not capture, store, or maintain your credit card information in our records, but instead rely on an expert payment processing firm for this service. We do this to reduce the chances that it may somehow be used fraudulently by third parties. Although we employ a top-tier Internet Service Provider and a major credit card processor, we realize that identity theft and credit card fraud are major problems. We are doing everything that is reasonably possible and commercially feasible to prevent these problems.
